Born 23rd September, 1959, in Petach Tikva, Israel. Avi Hadash began performing at a young age, becoming part of a drama group and appearing in his school's productions. When casting for the first Lemon Popsicle movie came along, Avi originally auditioned for the role of Bobby, "When they saw me they knew they didn't have what they were looking for" recalls Avi, "but I saw them whispering in the corner and then they told me, We have something in mind for you, and I got the part of Froike". Originally the role of Froike was only written for the famous measuring scene in the beginning of Lemon Popsicle, but his character was expanded and was often at the receiving end of Huey's firm hand in the Popsicle movies. After three years in the army, he studied acting in the theater department of Tel Aviv University and got a BA. Due to his commitments to the university he could not appear in Private Popsicle but again returned to the Popsicle movies for
Baby Love, and Up Your Anchor. During and following the Popsicle movies, Avi mostly perfomed in theater in Israel, including Brighton Beach Memoirs by Neil Simon, in which he played the lead. Along with his roles on stage, Avi has made several TV appearances, and has voiced the hebrew versions of animated movies.
